Slumdog Millionaire (Danny Boyle and Loveleen Tandan, 2008) A-
It was good masala movie with nice cast and music. The youngest Jamal's action reminded me of 'Toto'. The movie also reminded me of 'City of God'.

GoodFellas (Martin Scorsese, 1990) A+
One hell of a gangster movie. I liked the nontraditional narrative structure with quick edits and so much of narration to portray a gangster's lifestyle.

A Room with a View
(James Ivory, 1985) A
A beautiful movie shot is exotic natural locations. It's full of warmth and humor.

Enter the Dragon (Robert Clouse, 1973) A
I always avoided this movie thinking it has nothing but fights. I was wrong. It has a decent revenge drama and fine acting. One of Bruce Lee's best.

01/09

Erin Brockovich (Steven Soderbergh, 2000) A
You can watch it for Julia Roberts. The dialogues and the sentiment are good.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

MASH (1970, Robert Altman) A
Excellent war satire movie.
Bonnie and Clyde (1967, Arthur Penn) A
Good movie. Bold portrayal of sex and crime for it's time.
Annie Hall (Woody Allen, 1977) A+
The unusual way of story telling, talking directly to the audience is impressive.
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Nick Park and Steve Box, 2005) A-
Though the story is weak, the graphics made it worth a watch.
Should plan to watch some of the 25 greatest legal movies.

Stagecouch (John Ford, 1939) A+
A true classic indeed. As usual, it's a treat to watch John Wayne, the Ringo Kid. Technically, it's a reference book for other westerns, and movies in general.

My Cousin Vinny (Dale Launer, 1992) A
Had a good laugh. Nice comedy movie.
